Training: Debra Malley, M.D., is a boardcertified
ophthalmic surgeon, specializing in
Laser Vision Correction. Dr. Malley
graduated magna cum laude from Boston
University and received her doctorate of
medicine from Boston University School of
Medicine. She completed a residency in
ophthalmology at the New York Hospital
Cornell Medical Center. During her training
she was chosen as Chief Resident in
Ophthalmology.
LASIK Experience: For over two decades,
Dr. Malley has been involved with the research and utilization of the excimer laser in
refractive surgery. Her research on the healing response after laser surgery is used to teach
beginning surgeons and medical personnel. Dr. Malley has been performing LASIK since
1996. Her husband, also a physician, had LASIK with Dr. Malley.
Accomplishments: Dr. Malley has dedicated her surgical expertise to specialize in refractive
surgery. She is certified to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism using the
latest technology - wavefront and CustomLASIK. Dr. Malley is also certified to treat patients
who only wear reading glasses (presbyopia). Dr. Malley is the medical director of NYC
Medical Spa & Eye Center, where she and her trained medical estheticians offer laser hair and
vein therapy and other anti-aging skin and body treatments.
