We at Kremer Laser Eye Surgery Centers are pleased to provide the latest technology
for our patients with hyperopia. We are currently treating a wide range
of hyperopia and hyperopia with astigmatism using H-LASIK, and remain
the only center in the region with access to all the newest laser technology,
including the 49 beamlet broad beam laser, slit scanning laser, and
the flying spot (200 Hz) laser with eye-tracking and laser fixation
technology. While hyperopic Lasik is relatively new, our experience
has been that this technology, like LASIK for nearsightedness, is relatively
predictable and stable, and in general gives excellent visual results.
We are sometimes asked if we provide a different laser procedure to
treat hyperopia, known as Laser Thermokeratoplasty (LTK). This is a
procedure that uses heat energy applied to the cornea to change its
shape. The FDA PreMarket Study of this device gives preliminary data
on patient outcomes with this procedure. We are evaluating its use for
patients with very low degrees of hyperopia.
We are committed to providing the best options for your laser vision
correction. Please contact us at
