Anthony C. Zacchei, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataracts, glaucoma and LASIK refractive surgery.
Dr. Zacchei¹s extensive education began when he completed an accelerated
Six-Year Premedical/Medical program with the Pennsylvania State University
and Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Zacchei completed his ophthalmology
residency training at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Zacchei continued
his training in Miami at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute
where he specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He
received the Resident Research Award at Emory and has presented his
ophthalmology research in the United States and Europe. He has served
as Director of Glaucoma for the Moore Eye Institute affiliated with
Brandywine Hospital and the Crozer-Keystone system.
His educational honors and awards include graduating Magna Cum Laude
from Jefferson Medical College and selection into the prestigious Alpha
Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Zacchei has authored numerous publications and has lectured nationally.
He teaches students and residents at numerous local schools. Dr. Zacchei
is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical
Association and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
